There are constantly requests and queries about cool but practical changing bags in the Mutiny Kids inbox. Since they are something that you carry with you for at least the first year, whenever you have your baby with you, they’ve got to be practical, fit ALL of the things ever (kitchen sink anyone?) but also match up with everything in your wardrobe. QUITE the challenge.
Penny is 3 and a half, so we don’t have much need for a buggy at the park usually, but we popped the Pacapod on the back of the pram, full of snacks.
There are very handy straps that either tie onto the handle of any buggy or loop onto hooks you may already have attached.
The Prescott is striking with the contrast of fabrics, and looks like it’ll be perfect even after years of use. It has a rugged look to it, that mums and dads alike will enjoy using.
There are hidden expansion panels which can be unzipped to increase capacity for those long summer day trips we expect to be able to attempt any minute (c’mon summer!)
We loved that there is a fully padded laptop section (which we used for breadsticks – gotta keep them protected!)
There is also a cool bag pod for storing food and keeping it fresh, along with a bottle warmer sleeve (should you wish to keep food or milk hot)
The changing mat folds neatly into its own separate pocket, and is easy to fold back, with a velcro closure. It’s quite big for a portable changing mat (not like some I had where only half of Penn’s little bum could fit on it!)
There are numerous sections for the various items we all bring with us every day, making them easy to find. No blind shuffling down the end of the bag looking for that lipstick or key! There is also a changer pod which is great for keeping food and nappies hygienically separate. This is especially interesting to me, who used cloth nappies and wipes, so would have carried nappies home again for washing after a day out.
The bag would be great for parents of two or more kids too, as it’s certainly large enough, and can be packed to the brim. It’s also perfect on those kid free days where it’s just you, your laptop and some cash for a peaceful coffee (apparently they do happen….) and it has the added benefit of not LOOKING like a ‘kids stuff’ bag.
Leon was sent one of the toy pods which, can be used inside the changing bag as part of the 3-in-1 organising system in place of the changing pod. They can be personalised by adding a photo or picture to the front panel.
The Pacapod in this post is being sent to Lili’s lovely friend who has a newborn and will no doubt get lots of use from it. We’ll let you know what a new first time mom thinks of it too, but we are sure it’ll be a huge hit.
