The competition is open to children aged between 8-12 years


Easons has kicked off its 2016 Eason SpringFest Read-a-thon, a national competition to inspire and engage a new generation of readers.

SpringFest is a rolling concept aimed to enrich young minds to read, play and have fun over the Spring season with Eason. This year, Eason is challenging children to simply read two or more books from the selection of SpringFest Read-a-thon titles and write an original review of the book, between 50 – 250 words.

The competition will run until 3rd May, each review will count as one entry, with those completing multiple reviews increasing their chances of being selected. The lucky winner will receive a year’s worth of reading from, a very worthy prize for any book worm.


Throughout SpringFest 2016, Eason will host a “Buy One Get One Half Price” sale on their bestselling picture books and blockbuster young adult titles in store. In addition, three of Ireland’s most popular young adult writers – Shane Hegarty, Derek Landy and Darren Shan – will be signing copies of their new books and hosting Q&A events in Limerick and Dublin stores over April.
